On Sunday, June 12 2011 I decided that I needed a break from work and headed off to the mountains for some "me" time. I had an idea in the back of my mind that if the weather looked decent I would attempt a short, but difficult, scramble out of Andrew Nugara's book - Mount Baldy via the West Ridge.
